Doreen Tuman, aka “The Closet Lady,” is considered New York’s top closet designer and space specialist. For 28 years she has been helping people dig their way out of their chaotic closets creating an organized calm environment. Among her clients are international models, talk show hosts, race car drivers, Actors Harrison Ford, Harvey Keitel, Singer/Actress Lonette McKee, Patti Lapone, Cosmetics Executive/Author Georgette Mosbacher, Dancer/Actress Sandy Duncan, Comedian David Brenner, Journalist Bill Moyers, Paul Shaffer, Music Director of “Late Night with David Letterman” and Film Producer and Director Mira Nair. Doreen is well known in New York for her work and has been featured in The New York Times, the New York Observer, In Style and Elle magazines and in the Manhattan User’s Guide. Melissa Tuman Kamlet has been part of The Closet Lady/Manhattan Murphy Bed Inc. since October 2009. She joined Closet Lady with over 20 years of experience in interior design, closet design, art history, textile and set design application with Closet Systems, Harrison Interiors, Bloomingdales and The Museum of Natural History in New York City. During this time, she managed various client site and in house projects beginning her career in interior design after graduating from the NYIT.
She has completed continuing education programs at FIT, The Pratt Institute School of Art & Design and Hofstra University. She has been a member of A.S.I.D and C.I.D.A.
